Picture Rocks Pools
Pima County Cultural Resources
Opened on Memorial Day 2007, this Pima County Parks and Natural Resources facility – aimed particularly at families with children, with a 4,000 sf zero-edge 4-foot deep pool, a splash pad, and lots of spraying/pouring/geysering water toys, is a site adaptation of the popular pool we built last year at Jacobs Park. The project consists of a masonry lifeguard office, men’s and women’s toilet/locker rooms, the pool and splash pad, a large pool deck with shaded cabanas at its edge, and a grassy sitting area adjacent to the pool and splash pad. The pool is part of the larger Picture Rocks Park, which offer soccer and baseball fields, picnic areas, tennis and basketball courts.
