Desert Vista Sports Facility

BWS Architects began the planning for the newest campus for Pima Community College (PCC), Desert Vista Campus, in 1992. The initial building phase on the campus was a remodeling of an existing building. That was followed by a Master Plan Update completed in 1998 and subsequent Library/ Student Services Addition completed in 2000.

In 2001 the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department and PCC agreed to develop a joint-use Sports Complex to be shared by the Physical Education Department of PCC and the City of Tucson to serve the surrounding neighborhoods.

The project consists of softball fields, a soccer field, a building housing lockers, showers, exercise rooms, restrooms, storage rooms, and required parking.

The Sports Facility received a Silver Level L.E.E.D. Green Building certification in 2006.
